2020 Arneis
In the Piemontese dialect, Arneis means little rascal. Owing to its difficulty to cultivate this ancient varietal is rare though its unique minerality makes this exceptional wine worth the effort. The high elevations of Potter Valley offer ideal growing conditions. Our Arneis is whole cluster pressed, then fermented in neutral French Oak barrels in the sur lie method. The supple intensity of the palate includes notes of apricot. Asian Pear and almond infused with a minerality reminiscent of wet stone. It pairs wonderfully with firm white first such as swordfish and halibut, as well as mushroom dishes, chicken and aged cheeses. Cheers!
